what's best char to get LDoA on?
Purely for getting LDoA what are some of the best character combo's, preferably one that can solo well. Also can I get some tips for going for the title? I'm not really enjoying my Mo/E and there are some things I could have done to make earlier levels faster (or so I've heard) like grinding to a certain level and saving the lower quests for a decent amount of xp.
I'm slowing learning the pre leveling tricks and could use a lot more. Is death leveling completely useless now with the addition of the dailies or is it still better or maybe doing both is fastest? Thanks. |

That helped me out quite a bit. Underneath the "Farming XP after level 10" there is a section about the Vanguard quests vs. death levelling. It helped me out a lot As for which profession, It'd probably be best to go for one that you enjoy playing, as you will be spending a lot of time on it, and farming will get mundane (unless, like me, you have some sort of techno on in the background ) Last edited by LanaDarkess; Sep 03, 2011 at 04:04 AM // 04:04.. |

Depends what you mean fastest?
As you can easily get LDoA within a week now to me thats easy and suits most people. Char at the gate till level 10 rinse and repeat Yes as above once level 10 do the dailies by that I mean like hammet run out of fobbles kill the 3 groups map back and do over till you want to complete the quest...So you can hold onto it till bt an hour or so before the next daily or just do the same one over and over if suits you. This is the same for any daily outside the Northlands kill few groups map back rinse and repeat. e.g fort ranik do 3 groups map back Catacombs when you enter go hard RIGHT behind the Npc Necros shrine kill 3 groups and map back ect So really cant see the problem if you can do it in a week, before that it took months theres a big difference Last edited by Highlander Of Alba; Sep 03, 2011 at 10:16 AM // 10:16.. |

Warrior. 24 armor is eons better than 8.
You don't necessarily have to choose your secondary class right off the bat, and can gain the "initial skill set" of a secondary of your choice by simply talking to the respective profession trainer. Basically, don't finalize your choice of secondary until you reach level 20. Find something more practical for leveling, i.e. if you're a caster, go "temporary /R" to get a pet to help you tank/absorb damage. >Ele LDoA here (had a fair share of d-leveling, but luckily, the update came only about 1 month after I started). Ele is pretty easy, as everything dies fast, and there's not many monsters to slow you down... In regards to quick leveling- there is a quest called "Rescue Farmer Hamnet". It's the quickest grind as your enemies are immediately outside the gate of Foible's Fair. Farm those enemies. Actually completing the quests/turning them in will help you get LDoA, but farming these 2-3 enemies will get you there a lot faster. If you find it too repetitive and redundant, think of it like it's Vaettir or SoS Farming but a LOT LESS strenuous. |

No reason to death level now, unless you just prefer it for some reason. Its faster to take the daily missions, and most people started death leveling at level 15 or 16 anyway and did boss runs before that, to try and stay a little more sane.
As for best class, These threads normally get closed quickly, but I've said in most that though you can take any primary and its a personal decision, the important thing is you will probably want ele as your 2ndary. Nothing takes down a mob as quickly as firestorm and a few clean up flares. The class that actually will do the best is an ele monk, the inverse of the one you tried, as the ele heal skill might not look like much but is actually almost as good as the monk healing breeze, so long as you're constantly spamming fire spells with your 50 extra energy. Ele/mesmer will have the best damage, but I think the extra healing is more useful. I have compared all the skills and have recommended builds for any class, but I won't waste space here going into that kind of detail, I think this answers your question. |

if u want speed, warrior is the way to go cause of higher armor.
Otherwise, professions doesn't realy matter. fastest way is to farm charr at the gate quest to level 10, then wait for the vanguard quest: rescuing farmer hamnet. As soon as you get the hamnet quest, go to foible's fair, zone outside, and directly outside will be 2 foes whose levels depend on your own. Basically, by repeatedly killing the 2 foes, zoning back to foibles, and coming out again, it is the fastest way to earn survivors and i think can be done in 48-72 hrs? (im not sure on exact time) |
